Bacres House, Hambleden
D.H.Bond were required to construct a large basement for this project.
After the existing house was underpinned and piles drilled around the outside we excavated to the required depth and trimmed the piles down to the correct level. The slab and kicker were then poured before the wall reinforcement was tied and the single sided shuttering fixed to the concrete piles and underpinning. Waterproof concrete was then placed in the walls in stages using a boom pump and our 13 tonne excavator.
Internal alterations were carried out throughout the existing building, including the formation of a wine cellar, plus the construction of structural slabs over the ground and first floors.
Extensive trenching and reinstatement was carried out in the top field to accommodate the ground source heating pipes required to service the property. The excavation for the new stables and garage was cut into the slope above the main house and a long, curved retaining wall formed before constructing the concrete slabs for the buildings and stable yard. D.H.Bond also installed extensive drainage and service runs and carried out hard and soft landscaping preparation across the property.
