Private Estate, South Oxfordshire

D.H.Bond have carried out various projects on this estate over the last few years including extensive drainage and service installation, formation of multiple paths and tracks throughout the estate and re-laying and pointing all the York stone areas around the main house.
One notable task was the re-location of two greenhouses to an area in a steeply sloped field. D.H.Bond designed and engineered the layout and structure in order to achieve this. Firstly we stripped and stockpiled all the topsoil from the chosen area before excavating and concreting a foundation around the low sides of the structure where the level needed raising. 12mm re-bar was then drilled into the footing and hollow concrete blocks laid up to the required height before strong concrete was poured into the wall. The high side of the area was then reduced and the low side made up with compacted layers of imported material. Footings for the greenhouses were then concreted before ducting was installed for all incoming services. The brickwork to support the greenhouses was then carried out before the reinforced concrete slab was laid to falls in suitably divided bays. Subsequent brickwork and coping, including weep holes, was then laid around the top of the retaining wall and the blockwork faced with waterproof render.
D.H.Bond then designed and installed the planters retaining the slope above using treated sleepers cut and fixed to suit, plus formed the incoming track for vehicular access. We have recently carried out work to all the main drive areas including ducting, drainage, cobble edging and surfacing.
